Outreach Program

In a concerted effort to increase awareness, acceptance and support for NGVs and the multiple benefits they deliver, the Partnership has developed a dedicated Outreach Program. As part of this program’s specific tasks, participants will:

• Identify sources of funding and current outreach efforts for NGV deployment.
  
  
• Initiate an outreach program to encourage Air Districts in California to adopt fleet rules.
  
  
• Initiate an outreach program to increase public and California legislature awareness about the health, emission and energy-security benefits of NGVs.
  
  
• Set 3-, 5- and 10-year goals determining the number of light-, medium- and heavy-duty NGVs for California deployment.
  
  
• Coordinate efforts with the Infrastructure Program to determine the availability of CNG and LNG fueling.

Why Natural Gas?

With the rising cost of petroleum-based gasoline and diesel fuel, tougher emission standards and the growing public demand for better environmental policies, natural gas vehicles provide an attractive alternative with a multitude of key advantages.
